Site Editing Directions

Site Pages

The individual site pages will most likely be tricky to update. The uniqueness of the design and layout required the content entered as HTML in the page editor. There is HTML markup in there that defines rows and columns to allow the content to be displayed on both desktop as well as mobile. If you feel comfortable with finding what you need to edit in the code great! If you would like assistance at any point let us know and we will be glad to make updates for you.

News

The “News” page will show your latest posts, regardless of category. To create a new “News Post”:

  1. Click on “Posts > Add New” from the WordPress Dashboard menu
  2. Enter the post title
  3. Enter the content
  4. Upload a featured image. (This is important as the “news” page displays a cropped version of the featured image as part of the layout. If it is missing it will break the grid layout)
  5. Select “News” from the “Categories” Dropdown. (Not completely necessary as the news page shows all categories, but it will keep you from having to go back through all your posts and select this if you ever want to add another post category type to your site and separate them)
  6. Click Publish

Project Gallery

  1. Click “Projects > Add New” from the WP Dashboard menu.
  2. Enter Project title
  3. Click “Set Featured Image” and upload the image you want to be displayed.
  4. Click the “Add Media” button above the content editor and upload the PDF you want the Project thumbnail to open. Once it is uploaded copy the url in the PDF’s “copy link” field.
  5. Close the media browser
  6. Enter Project PDF’s url in the “Project File Url” field
  7. Click “Publish”

Notes: The content editor contents are not used for this post type. I just have it active to allow access the the media browser from within the post editor. Also you will have to “Publish” the page that displays the Project Gallery as it is currently in draft. Under “Pages > All Pages” find “Project Gallery – Draft” click quick edit, set status to “Published” and click update.

Sponsees (Sponsored Organizations)

  2. Add Sponsee name in Title Field
  3. Upload Sponsee logo under “Featured Image > Set featured image”
